Practical preparation
Hob: when the fault comes and goes.
For your hob enquiry, record the setting, stage and starting conditions when the change appears. A brief description of several ordinary occurrences can be more useful than a single guessed cause.
Suitable work, charges and Monday–Thursday visits confirmed individually.

Apply this to your hob
For an electric or induction hob, identify the affected zone and what the controls display. Gas-related enquiries must be confirmed before attendance.
Keep the product and request together
The label, fitting and observed change describe the specific product. Send only information relevant to the enquiry; an old front-panel range name alone can be incomplete.
Know what this preparation does
Preparing notes helps the team understand the request. It does not reserve an appointment, confirm a particular part or authorise charges. Work and visits are agreed individually.
